A payment product should make session information understandable enough to support a useful decision, while being careful not to imply that a simple label establishes the identity or intention of the person using that session.
Context that helps recognition
Approximate device type, access time and other appropriate context can help the customer identify their own activity. The product should explain any limitations in that information. A location estimate, for example, may not be a precise statement of physical presence. Presenting uncertain context as definitive evidence can cause either unnecessary alarm or misplaced reassurance during an access concern.
Controls with a defined scope
If the account offers a way to end sessions or restrict access, it should explain what the action affects. The customer needs to know whether they are closing a browser session, changing authentication or taking another step. Those actions should not be described as interchangeable. Clear scope makes it easier to follow an incident response without assuming one button resolves every possible exposure.
A route for uncertainty
The customer may still be unable to recognise the activity. Support should provide a safe escalation path using established channels and relevant account references. The process should avoid asking the user to share unnecessary secrets or reproduce raw technical logs they do not understand. The objective is to establish the concern and apply the programme's actual controls appropriately.
Visibility that supports confidence
For ALFA Debit, access history would be valuable if designed around the customer's practical questions. The interface should help people understand who may still be connected in operational terms, without pretending it can identify every actor conclusively. Useful visibility combines readable evidence, accurately described controls and a reliable route to help when recognition remains uncertain.
