A business accountant may need statements, receipts and allocation details without any role in making purchases. If the product offers only full access or no access, the customer may resort to sharing credentials. A business-oriented ALFA Debit design should recognise that financial review is a distinct job, with information needs that do not imply authority to change limits or initiate movements.
Scope the review role
The accountant's access should match the work assigned by the business. Some reviewers need all company transactions; others need only a project or reporting period. Clear permissions reduce unnecessary exposure while making the service useful. The customer should be able to understand the role in ordinary terms rather than interpret a technical list of capabilities whose commercial consequences are difficult to assess.
Separate export from administration
Downloading a statement does not require the ability to change a funding destination or employee spending authority. The interface should preserve those boundaries. A reviewer can still be effective if the export contains stable references and complete relevant fields. Limiting control should not mean providing an unusable summary that forces the customer to grant broader access simply to obtain adequate records.
Make access changes visible
The business should know who has review access and be able to remove it when an engagement ends. A history of invitations and role changes helps explain later questions about information exposure. Temporary advisers should not retain indefinite access merely because nobody remembered which administrative account originally invited them or where the permission can be reviewed and withdrawn.
Support ordinary finance work
The value for ALFA Debit would be practical: accountants can reconcile spending while payment authority remains with the appropriate business roles. This makes the product easier to adopt within an existing organisation. A clear review role respects the difference between understanding what happened and being empowered to create the next financial instruction on the customer's behalf.
